The eenk firmware is only compatible with USB unlocked Xteink devices. Flashing a locked device CAN BRICK IT.
If you purchased your device from Xteink, it is unlocked. From other resellers, your mileage may vary. The flashing wizard provided here will not work on locked devices. Please do not try alternate flashing methods, or you will turn your ereader into a very thin and light paperweight (i.e. a pretty bad one).
Technical reason: The eenk firmware replaces the stock partition table, allocating roughly half of the X3/X4's 16 MB flash as read-only storage for loading and running Ink stories. It is not possible to safely modify the partition table (and flash back to stock) without USB.
